Snowflake Kisses

Here's my clean and simple design for the current Mojo Monday challenge.  Winter is still hanging on around here, so I haven't pushed my wintery sets out of my mind--or my workspace!  This design came together super quickly with some distress inks, a little embossing, and a large die cut.

Snowflake Kisses card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Concord & 9th
For the background, I pressed a trio of different distress inks on to a large clear block and misted them with water to blend the colors, then pressed a piece of watercolor paper on top to capture the flowing colors.  After drying the ink with my heat tool, I heat embossed the sweet sentiment from Concord & 9th's Snowflakes Turnabout set on the upper right side of the panel in white.  The snowflake from the Snow Flurry die set was cut from silver paper and positioned at the bottom left of the panel.  I dotted the center with a large clear crystal for sparkle and dimension.  After matting the panel on silver cardstock, I adhered it to a coordinating red card base.

Materials Used:
Snowflakes Turnabout stamp set, Snow Flurry dies (Concord & 9th); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Barn Door, Festive Berries, and Worn Lipstick distress inks (Ranger); Riding Hood Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock (Recollections); self-adhesive clear crystal
