Color Throwdown 536-Thanks in a Big Way
It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lisa is our hostess this week with a super soft mix of colors--mauve, moss green, and cream.
I paired the colors with the current challenge at The Paper Players and stamps from Reverse Confetti to create this pretty thank you card design. The card was built on a cream card base with a large panel of mauve patterned paper set at the middle. I adhered a solid strip of mauve paper across the cardfront, then added a cream fishtail flag strip to the top edge of the mauve strip. The "thanks" sentiment from RC's In a Big Way set was stamped on the cream strip in mauve pigment ink. I used RC's Petals 'n Posies set to stamp up a pair of mauve flowers and a leafy branch. After cutting the images out with the coordinating dies, I adhered them to the straight end of the fishtail flag strip, using foam tape to adhere the flowers for dimension. I finished off each flower with a matte enamel dot at the center.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD536. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd536 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, March's Guest Designer, Kelly Schirmer, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Evelyn Spikes.
