Keeping Christmas-March 2019

It's time for the March installment of Keeping Christmas with The Challenge design team! This month I'm sharing a super simple holiday design that would be pretty easy to mass produce.

Wishing You Peace and Joy card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from SugarPea DesignsThe layout for my card is based on the current Fab Friday challenge.  I did an emboss resist technique on my focal image panel, stamping the beautifully detailed snowflakes from the SugarPea Designs Flurry of Warm Wishes stamp set in silver ink on the panel, then heat embossing them in silver before inking over them with a mix of blue and purple distress oxides.  The panel was matted on silver cardstock before it was adhered to the purple card base.  To bring in the blue, I stamped the set's "wishing you peace and joy" sentiment on a narrow aqua strip in silver ink, then heat embossed it before adhering it over the image panel, extending on to the cardfront.

Don't miss what the rest of our team has created to inspire you to get a head start on your holiday card making!  There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing.  Here's where to find the team members:

Materials Used:
Flurry of Warm Wishes stamp set (SugarPea Designs); Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Wilted Violet distress oxides (Ranger); Elegant Eggplant cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Silver cardstock (Recollections); silver embossing powder (Hero Arts)
