Cheers to Your Birthday

The theme for this month's My Favorite Things Birthday Project challenge is cards with drinks.  I have a bunch of drink stamps from MFT, so it took me a while to choose between them!

Cheers to Your Birthday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
In the end I went with a martini themed design.  My martini glass was created with a piece of green cardstock die cut with a die from the Martini Time set and stenciled with a dotted pattern in a slightly darker shade of green ink.  I used foam tape to adhere the glass to a white pierced rectangle panel.  To go with the glass and the birthday theme, I die cut "cheers" from silver cardstock  and stamped "to your birthday" from the Spirited Sentiment set on a yellow fishtail flag strip.  I tucked one end of the strip beneath the stem of the glass, then positioned the die cut word above it.  A trio of silver glitter enamel dots were arranged around the panel as a fun accent.  After matting the panel on silver cardstock, I adhered it to a green card base to match the martini glass.

Materials Used:
Spirited Sentiments stamp set, Lemon Drop and Green Apple cardstock, Martini Time, Essential Fishtail Flag Sentiment Strips, Pierced Rectangle STAX, and Cheers dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Twisted Citron distress ink (Ranger); Silver cardstock (Recollections); Lotsa Dots stencil (Reverse Confetti); silver glitter enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
