Floral Thank You
Here's my card for the current Global Design Project challenge. I used a similar layout and some florals as my focal image for my take on the design.
My flowers are from the Paper Smooches Twiggy Florets stamp set. I did some paper piecing with the images, stamping them on cardstock scraps and cutting them out, then adhering them to the stamped blue background panel. After I had everything assembled, it looked a little flat to me, so I stamped and cut out the pieces a second time and added them to the panel using foam tape. Much better! The image panel was matted on yellow cardstock, then adhered to a white stitched rectangle. I stamped the simple "thank you" sentiment from the Word Up set beneath the image in black ink. The panel was matted on green cardstock, then adhered to a green card base with a yellow gingham panel covering most of it.
Materials Used:
Twiggy Florets and Word Up stamp sets (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Bright Buttercup and Simply Chartreuse cardstock, Lemon Tart patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Tempting Turquoise cardstock (Stampin' Up!); stitched rectangle dies (Lil' Inker Designs); foam tape
