Watt's Up?

Here's my card for this month's SugarPea Designs Mix it Up challenge.  I paired the sketch with the color scheme from the inspiration photo for this clean and simple design.

You Brighten My Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from SugarPea Designs
I represented the layout's trio of hexagon shaped elements with light bulbs from SPD's Watt's Up? stamp set.  The bulbs were colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  I meant to give them a coating of glitter from a glitter brush pen before taking the photo, but forgot... I used foam tape to adhere the bulbs to a kraft panel edged with black that I'd positioned at the left side of a white card base.  The "strings" were drawn with a ruler and a fine tip black pen before putting the bulbs in place.  I stamped the set's "you brighten my day" sentiment in two lines next to the image panel to finish the card.  Now to go back and add some glitter...

Materials Used:
Watt's Up? stamp set (SugarPea Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); foam tape
