Plane and Simple

The theme for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is "Spectacular Skies."  I inked up the adorable airplane image from Lawn Fawn's Plane and Simple set for the focal image on this simple design.

Plane and Simple card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
My sky was created with a cloud stencil and Broken China distress oxide on a white panel.  I used a stitched circle die to cut a large round opening from a darker blue card base to show off a portion of the inked panel.  Before securing the stenciled panel to the inside of the cardfront with foam tape, I used one of the Stitched Trail dies to cut a flight trail into the panel so that there would be a look of movement in the design.  The airplane, colored with Copic markers, was adhered to the cardfront at the end of the flight trail using more foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment on strips of red cardstock, then adhered the text to the cardfront with foam tape (again!).  A pair of white matte enamel dots arranged beneath the lower part of the sentiment completed the design.

Materials Used:
Plane and Simple stamp set, Plane and Simple and Stitched Trails dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Broken China distress oxide (Ranger); markers (Copic); Pacific Point cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); mini cloud stencil (My Favorite Things); stitched circle dies (Lil' Inker Designs); white matte enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
