It's time for another Color Throwdown! It's my turn to be the challenge hostess and I'm sharing a bold, bright, summery mix of colors inspired by a fun beach towel--yellow, orange, hot pink, green.
I paired the colors with the current Sunday Stamps challenge and the "hello" theme for this month's Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash challenge to create this simple floral design. I stamped up a bunch of flowers in pink, orange, and yellow using RC's Petals 'n Posies stamp set, then cut the stamped images out with the matching dies. After auditioning multiple arrangements of flowers, I finally settled on what you see here. I put the flowers in place with foam tape, then tucked the leafy branches between them on either side. The center of each flower was dotted with a single matte orange enamel dot for another pop of color and some added texture. For the sentiment, I stamped the "a happy hello" from RC's Whole Lotta Happy on the open left side of the panel. I matted it on orange cardstock, then edged the top and bottom of the panel with narrow yellow strips before adhering the panel to a cheerful pink card base.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD547. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd547 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, June's Guest Designer, Alicia Thelin, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Emily Mydlowski.
