Bunches of Birthday Wishes

Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project.  I used elements of the inspiration card, including the layout, trio of elements, and gingham pattern, for my take on the CASE'd card.

Bunches of Birthday Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I built my design on a green card base with a wide white stitched frame around a piece of aqua gingham patterned paper. The frame was adhered with foam tape to give the element dimension.  Instead of putting a cluster of three elements at the bottom of the frame, I switched the placement to the top of the card.  The trio of die cut balloons in green, yellow, and aqua, were positioned near the top of the frame using more foam tape, and a gray die cut group of "strings" was tucked beneath the raised pieces.  I stamped the "bunches of birthday wishes" sentiment from the Balloon Builders stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs at the bottom of the gingham panel in black ink.  A trio of aqua sequins sprinkled beneath the balloons completed the design.

Materials Used:
Balloon Builders stamp set, Stitched Rectangle, Balloon, and Balloon Strings dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Versafine Clair Nocturne ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Weathervane, Aqua Mist, Bright Buttercup, and Simply Chartreuse cardstock, Aqua Mist patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); aqua sequins; foam tape
