Color Throwdown 551-You're Awesome

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Amy Rysavy is our hostess this week with a great mix of colors--pink, gold, black and white.

I paired the colors with the current challenge at Sunday Stamps.  The layout's large panel was a perfect fit for the unicorn image from the Paper Smooches Spectrum stamp set.  I colored most of the image with Copic markers, then paper pieced the mane, tail, face, and hooves with some shiny gold paper.  The die cut image was adhered to a white panel over a pair of shimmery white clouds.  I used foam tape on all of the pieces so they were set off from the white background just a bit.  After mounting the image panel on a pink pierced rectangle panel, I adhered it to the pink card base over a strip of gold paper edged on both sides with delicate black scallops.  The set's "you're awesome" sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the cardfront in black ink.  A trio of rose gold sequins arranged around the clouds completed the design.
