Stay Awesome

The theme for the current Simon Says Stamps challenge is stars and/or stripes.  I incorporated both elements in to my design.  I started out with a tag die cut from a piece of striped paper in my scrap pile.  The die I used isn't a tag die, but by punching a hole at the top and threading some ribbon through it, I was able to turn the shape into one.  I adhered the tag to the bottom of a pale blue card base.  To dress it up, I added a silver pierced star die cut to the left edge using foam tape.  A fishtail flag strip stamped with "stay awesome" from the My Favorite Things Essential Sentiments stamp set was tucked beneath the raised edge of the star.  I accented the sentiment strip with a trio of sparkly silver enamel dots.
