Keeping Christmas-August 2019

It's time for the August installment of Keeping Christmas with The Challenge design team!  For this month I created a clean and simple design in a cool color scheme that would be easy to reproduce and mail, too.

Peace on Earth card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Avery Elle
I stamped several different snowflake images from Avery Elle's Snowflakes stamp set in aqua ink from the top to the bottom of a slightly lighter aqua cardstock panel, making sure to vary the placement of the different flakes for interest.  For the sentiment, I used a dark purple ink to stamp the set's "peace on Earth" sentiment on a purple cardstock strip.  I edged the strip with narrow strips of dark purple and silver cardstock before adhering it to the lower portion of the stamped aqua panel. The panel was adhered to a dark purple card base that matches the purple accent strip beneath the sentiment panel.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I dotted the center of each snowflake with silver Liquid Pearls for dimension and a bit of sparkle.

Don't miss what the rest of our team has created to inspire you to get a head start on your holiday card making!  There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing.  Here's where to find the team members:
