It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lynn is our hostess this week with an earthy mix of colors--orange, brown, moss green, and cream.
I paired the colors with a loose take on the current sketch from Fab Friday. I represented the layout's large round element with the beautiful detailed leaf image from Concord & 9th's Lace Leaf stamp set. The leaf outline was stamped on cream cardstock in brown ink, then filled in with the watercolor style matching image stamp. After die cutting the image, I adhered it to a moss green cardstock panel. For the sentiment, I cut the word "grateful" from orange and brown cardstock. I layered the die cut pieces, staggering them slightly for a shadow-like look, then adhered them to the panel, overlapping part of the leaf image. "So very" was stamped in brown ink just above the die cut word to finish the sentiment. A trio of gold sequins were arranged around the leaf for a touch of sparkle and shine. I matted the panel on gold paper, then adhered it to a cream card base.To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.
