It's time for another Color Throwdown! Wanda is our hostess this week with a fun mix of colors-turquoise, orange, and gray or silver, whichever you prefer.
I paired the colors with the current Mojo Monday sketch. I couldn't resist using a snowman on my card, just like in the photo the colors were drawn from. My snowman is from Lawn Fawn's Nutty or Nice? stamp set. I stamped the image on shimmery white cardstock for a snow-like sparkle, then added some color with Copic markers. I also stamped up a squirrel image as a buddy for the snowman. The images were adhered to a diamond shaped panel using foam tape for dimension. For contrast, I matted an orange plaid panel on orange paper and placed it on a turquoise cardstock panel. After wrapping thepanel with gray ribbon, I added the image panel on top. The set's "hope your holidays are nuttin' but fun" sentiment was stamped at the top of the plaid panel. The finished panel was adhered to an orange card base to match the mats beneath the panels on the cardfront.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD570. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd570 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our November Guestie Michelle Lupton, and this week's Guest Star Stamper Athena Boulanitou.
