I'm Over the Moon for You

Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I created a space themed design using images from both the Out of this World and Space Explorer stamp sets.

I'm Over the Moon for You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I colored up the rocket from the Out of this World set and the planet and moon from the Space Explorer set using Copic markers, then cut out the colored images using my Scan 'n Cut machine.  To create a star-studded outer space background, I die cut a piece of navy cardstock with MFT's Starry Night-Horizontal dies.  The die cut panel was backed with silver cardstock, filling in the negative space with shiny silver stars.  The cutout images were adhered to the panel using foam tape for dimension, then it was positioned at the center of a red cardstock panel.  After matting the red panel on silver cardstock, I adhered it to a matching red card base.  For the sentiment, I die cut a long, narrow fishtail flag strip from red cardstock and stamped the "I'm over the moon for you" sentiment from the Space Explorer set on the strip in black ink. I adhered the strip over the rocket image, using foam tape for dimension.

Materials Used:
Out of this World and Space Explorer stamp sets, Starry Night-Horizontal and Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things);  Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Red Punch and Silver cardstock (Recollections); Dark Indigo cardstock (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
