Happy Anniversary
My parents are celebrating their 51st wedding anniversary this week, so I put together this design to mark the occasion. The layout is based on the current challenge at Try Stampin on Tuesday. I used half of a pretty paper doily to represent the sketch's half circle panel. The doily was adhered to the right side of a gray on gray striped patterned paper panel. After wrapping a piece of silvery gray satin ribbon around the panel, I secured the ribbon with a simple knot, positioned over the doily. A red pierced heart die cut was placed on the left side of the doily using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the "happy anniversary" sentiment from the My Favorite Things Essential Sentiments stamp set in white pigment ink on a narrow strip of gray cardstock and heat embossed the text in white for a bold pop against the gray background. The text was placed on the card front so it overlapped both the heart and doily elements. A trio of silver sequins were arranged around the heart as a final accent. The finished panel was adhered to a red card base coordinating with the die cut heart element.
Materials Used:
Essential Sentiments stamp set, Steel Grey cardstock, Pierced Heart STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Cherry Cobbler cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Smokey Shadow patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); gray satin ribbon (Target); Snow embossing powder (Recollections); paper doily; silver sequins; foam tape
