Warm and Cozy Holiday

Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.  I picked Challenge 305, a sketch from way back in January, for my festive holiday themed design.

Warm and Cozy Holiday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn FawnI represented the layout's round element with a round mug from Lawn Fawn's Thanks a Latte stamp set.  The mug was colored with Copic markers and I added a contrasting green scarf to go with the sentiment I wanted to use.  I matted a pair of patterned paper squares from LF's Snow Day Remix paper pad on red paper, then arranged them on a green card base.  The panels were topped with the mug image, using foam tape for dimension. I accented the mug witha trio of red matte enamel dots.  The "have a warm and cozy holiday" sentiment is a mix of several pieces from the Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments set.  I fit the text in on the right side of the cardfront to finish off the design.

Materials Used:
Thanks a Latte and Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments stamp sets, Snow Day Remix 6x6 paper pad (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); New Leaf cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); red matte enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape

  2. You did a fantastic job coloring the mug and matching the colors to the cardstock! I like that your card is festive and seasonal, but something different from the usual trees and poinsettias and snowy scenes. Nicely done, Lori! Thanks so much for sharing your card with us at CC&S! I hope you'll continue to join in our challenges in 2020.
