It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lisa is our hostess this week with a great mix of colors--navy, teal, and mustard. I paired the colors with the current Mojo Monday sketch for this rainy themed design.
My focal image is from Mama Elephant's Chance of Rain stamp set. I colored up the raincoat-clad cutie and umbrella with Copic markers, then cut the colored images out with my Scan 'n Cut. I used foam tape to adhere them to a teal panel with white polka dots. After edging the dotted panel with a strip of navy cardstock, I placed it on a teal cardstock panel. I tucked a white stitched cloud die cut beneath the top right edge of the dotted panel, then topped it with a mustard fishtail flag strip. The "miss you" sentiment from the In My Heart stamp set was stamped on the strip in black ink. After wrapping the panel with a piece of navy grosgrain ribbon and securing it with a simple knot, the panel was adhered to a navy card base.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD576. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd576 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our January Guestie Amy Tsuruta, and this week's Guest Star Stamper Maja.
