Color Throwdown 577-With Gratitude

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  It's my turn to host the challenge and I've picked a bold color combination to try--navy blue, pink, and green.  I paired the colors with the current Sunday Stamps challenge and the current anything goes challenge at Paper Smooches for this thank you themed design.

With Gratitute card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
My focal image is the beautiful flower from the Lovely Thoughts set.  I stamped the flower and leaf images in black ink on watercolor paper, then heat embossed the outlines before watercoloring the images with Zig Clean Color markers and an aqua brush.  After carefully fussy cutting the images, I arranged them on a green panel with a trio of navy blue fishtail flag strips.  The flower overlapped the top two strips, leaving space on the bottom strip for the "with gratitude" sentiment from the Chit Chat set.  I stamped the text in white pigment ink, then heat embossed it in white so it would stand out against the navy strip.  After wrapping the panel with a length of green baker's twine and securing it with a simple bow, the finished panel was adhered to an easy to write on white card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD577If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd577 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our January Guestie Amy Tsuruta, and this week's Guest Star Stamper Stephanie Severin.
