Never Too Old
Here's my card for the current challenge at The Paper Players. I used a party hat die from Lil' Inker Designs to create my six repeated elements. For interest, I used a palette of three shades of blue to cut the pieces and mixed and matched them when assembling the hats. Each hat was backed with shimmery silver cardstock to fill in the negative space where the stars are on each hat. The hats were adhered to a white panel using foam tape for dimension. For the sentiment, I chose the "you're never too old to wear a party hat" sentiment from LID's You're Invited stamp set. I stamped it in blue ink on a strip of silver cardstock. It was positioned over the top two hats. The finished panel was adhered to a blue card base that matches the darkest blue shade in the hats.
Materials Used:
You're Invited stamp set, party hat dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Bahama Blue ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Ocean and Silver cardstock (Recollections); foam tape
