You Rocked It
Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. It's the second time in the last three weeks that I've used a record themed design for this challenge, but the album die from the SugarPea Designs Greatest Hits stamp set was a perfect fit for the sketch!
I started out by stamping the set's audio equalizer image in green ink on a green cardstock panel. The little bit of pattern adds some interest to the clean and simple design without distracting from the focal image. I die cut the album from black cardstock and used foam tape to adhere it to a green cardstock panel. After die cutting the album label from green cardstock and stamping the set's round "congratulations" sentiment on it in darker green ink, I added it to the center of the album. I used scraps of cardstock to cut the record player arm and assembled it, then added a small gray brad to the piece before positioning it over the record album with more foam tape. The set's "you rocked" it sentiment was stamped in green ink on a narrow light green cardstock strip and placed it on the panel with more foam tape. The panel was matted on black cardstock, then adhered to a green card base.
Materials Used:
Greatest Hits stamp set, Greatest Hits dies (SugarPea Designs); Memento Bamboo Leaves ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Simply Chartreuse and Spring Moss cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock (Recollections); gray mini brad; foam tape
