Thanks for Always Perking Me Up
It's Friday of my first full week back at work after winter break, so a coffee-themed card seemed appropriate for the day! The layout is based on the current challenge at Try Stampin on Tuesday. I also incorporated the challenge's suggested thank you theme into my design.
My focal image is from the Grande-Sized Love stamp set from My Favorite Things. I colored the cutie up with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored image. It was adhered to a pale pink panel using foam tape for dimension. The "thanks for always perking me up" sentiment was stamped just beneath the image in black ink. I matted the panel on Sahara Sand cardstock, then adhered it to a floral patterned paper panel over a pair of fishtail flag strips that match the colors I used for the image's clothing. The finished panel was adhered to a Sahara Sand card base to match the mat underneath the image panel.
Materials Used:
Grande-Sized Love stamp set, Insulation Pink cardstock, Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Regal Rose, Not Quite Navy, and Sahara Sand cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Goldenrod 6x6 paper pad (One Canoe Two); foam tape
