Sending Hugs Your Way

Sending Hugs Your Way card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Avery Elle
Here's my monochromatic take on the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.  I used different shades of pink with stamps and coordinating dies from Avery Elle to put this one together.  The card was built on a card base made the lightest shade of pink cardstock.  I used the "hugs" die from the Simply Said Hugs die set to cut the word "hugs" from a panel of one of the middle pink shades of cardstock.  The "sending" and "your way" sentiments were stamped around the die cut words and the negative space from the die cut word was filled in by backing the panel with a piece of the darkest pink cardstock.  I positioned the stamped and die cut strip near the bottom of the pale pink card base, then added the two narrow darker pink strips to the right of the sentiment panel.  For an accent, I tucked a small length of pale pink pom pom trim underneath the top of the sentiment panel.  The color coordinates with the rest of the pinks much better IRL, I promise!

Materials Used:
Simply Said Hugs stamp set, Simply Said Hugs dies (Avery Elle); Memento Rose Bud ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, and Raspberry Fizz cardstock (Papertrey Ink); pink pom pom trim
