Aloe There
Here's my card for the current challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. The layout was perfect for the fun foliage-filled van from the Paper Smooches Posh Planters stamp set that I colored up with my Copic markers a few days ago as part of this month's Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
I cut a large angled banner from polka dotted aqua paper to make a background for the van. After adding a long narrow gray fishtail flag strip across the bottom of the banner, I added the van over the strip using foam tape for dimension. For the sentiment, I rounded the corners on an orange cardstock strip, then stamped "aloe there" on the piece. The "aloe" is from the Posh Planters set and the "there" is from the Hang Ups set--I love to mix and match the handwritten sentiments in PS stamp sets! I placed the sentiment strip at the top of the banner and added a single staple to the tab, then placed the panel on a golden yellow card base.
Materials Used:
Posh Planters and Hang Ups stamp sets (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Harvest Gold and Orange Zest cardstock, Aqua Mist patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Steel Grey cardstock, Essential Fishtail Flag Sentiment Strips (My Favorite Things); corner rounder; stapler; foam tape
