Happy Bird-Day

Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project.  I used the sketch for a birthday card featuring an image from the classic Paper Smooches Birthday Buddies stamp set.  It also fits the current Paper Smooches "anything goes" challenge theme

Happy Bird-Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
I colored the bird and the balloons from the Hullabaloo stamp set earlier this week as part of this month's Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  I found some coordinating patterned paper to go with the images and cut a circle in the center of the patterned panel.  It was adhered to a yellow card base using foam tape for dimension. Before positioning the panel on the cardfront, I placed a white panel on the cardfront to serve as a background for the bird image. The bird and balloons were placed inside the round opening using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the set's "happy bird-day" sentiment on a narrow yellow strip that matched the card base and adhered it at the bottom of the circle to complete the design.

Materials Used:
Birthday Buddies and Hullabaloo stamp sets, Buddies Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Sugar Shoppe 6x6 paper pad (Doodlebug Design); circle dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
