Hippo Bird-Day
Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. It's a somewhat loose interpretation of the sketch, with the three separate circles represented here by an image with three components.
My images are from MFT's Happy Hippos set. I colored the hippo, balloons, and birdie with Copic markers, then cut out the colored images with my Scan 'n Cut machine. They were adhered to a Sno Cone card base over the left edge of a green patterned paper strip. I tucked a narrow strip of coordinating solid green cardstock underneath the right edge of the patterned panel. It gives the panel a finished look. The set's "wishing you a hippo bird-day" sentiment was stamped directly on the patterned panel above the clustered images to finish the card.
Materials Used:
Happy Hippos stamp set, Sour Apple and Sno Cone cardstock (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Sunny Days Ahead 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); foam tape
