My Kind of Friend
Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I used some Concord & 9th images that I'd colored as part of the Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge to put this one together.
The girl and book from the Daily Wear set make up my focal image. The face is on a white circle that I die cut. For dimension, I cut out the open book with a matching die and used foam tape to position it at the bottom of the round panel. After assembling the background for the image from a dotted patterned paper panel and a solid pink cardstock strip, I added the matted image panel on top. The set's "you're my kind of friend" sentiment was stamped on the solid pink panel in black ink. As an accent, I tucked a red scalloped strip under the bottom edge of the pink strip. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating pink card base.
Materials Used:
Daily Wear stamp set, Daily Wear dies (Concord & 9th); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Sweet Blush cardstock, scallop border die (Papertrey Ink); Riding Hood Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); designer paper (My Mind's Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
