Filled with Surprises

Here's my card for the current Lawnfawnatics challenge.  I paired the sketch with Lawn Fawn's Birthday Before 'n Afters stamp set to create this sweet birthday design.

Filled with Surprises card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn FawnI stamped and colored three identical gift box images in shades of aqua and purple.  After cutting out the images with my Scan 'n Cut, I used foam tape to adhere each box to an aqua circle.  I stamped the set's box with the chick image once and colored the box and ribbons in the same aqua and purple color scheme.  The yellow chick gave the image a fun contrasting pop of color.  The image was attached to a fourth aqua circle with more foam tape.  I adhered the circles to an aqua gingham panel with four purple circles arranged in a square at the top of the panel. The set's "hope your day is filled with surprises" sentiment was stamped on a narrow purple panel.  I matted the sentiment strip on aqua cardstock, then used foam tape to position the sentiment just beneath the bottom two image panels.  The finished panel was matted on purple cardstock, then adhered to a coordinating aqua card base.

Materials Used:
Birthday Before 'n Afters stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Aqua Mist and Winter Wisteria cardstock, Aqua Mist patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); circle punches (EK Success); foam tape
