Modern Frame Birthday

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used the layout to make a birthday card that I'll put in the mail for my officemate instead of propping it up on her computer keyboard in our office.

I replaced the diamond element on the sketch with Concord & 9th's six-sided Modern Frame die.  For an elegant look, I cut the frame from gold paper and adhered it to the center of a pale pink cardstock panel.  To dress up the frame, I used the die set's flower and leafy branch dies to create a decorative element.  The die cut pieces were arranged at the bottom right of the frame, then the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Birthday Stacks sentiment was stamped in the center of the frame in reddish-pink ink.  I matted the finished panel on gold paper, then adhered it to a pale green card base that matches one of the branch elements clustered on the wreath.

Materials Used:
Birthday Stacks stamp set, Modern Frame dies (Concord & 9th); Flamingo ink (Reverse Confetti); Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst, Ripe Avocado, and Spring Moss cardstock (Papertrey Ink); gold paper (Target); Pink Pearl Liquid Pearls (Ranger); foam tape
