Color Throwdown 597-Miss You

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  It's my turn to be rhe challenge hostess and I'm sharing a bold mix of colors to play with--blue, purple, light blue, and green.

The layout for my card is based on the current challenge at Sunday Stamps.  I colored up one of the chair images from the Paper Smooches Abode stamp set with Copic markers, then fussy cut out the image with a pair of sharp scissors.  I made a background for the chair with a light blue cardstock panel with a strip of green "carpet" along the bottom--almost the same color green as the carpet in my childhood bedroom...The chair was positioned on top using foam tape for dimension.  I matted the panel on royal purple cardstock before adhering it to a green cardstock panel over a strip of green dotted patterned paper and a contrasting navy cardstock square.  The "miss you" sentiment from the PS Sentiment Sampler stamp set was stamped in white pigment ink on a purple cardstock strip and heat embossed in white for extra contrast against the dark background.  The finished panel was adhered to a purple card base.  This card is on its way to a colleague who's been under the weather.  When we're at work (which we haven't been in months...), she often sits in the extra chair in my office to chat, so I thought the chair image was appropriate!
