Here's my card for
the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. With the school year winding down around here, I decided to make a teacher themed thank you design based on the layout.
I represented the layout's diamond shape with an apple created with the Apple Shaker dies from Lil' Inker Designs. After assembling the apple, I used foam tape to adhere it to a golden yellow cardstock panel with a wide strip of alphabet patterned paper along the left edge. The patterned panel is broken up by a narrow golden yellow cardstock strip edged with an even narrower strip of kraft cardstock. Teh "for a great teacher" sentiment from LID's Apple of My Eye stamp set was stamped in black ink in the bottom right corner of the yellow panel. The finished panel was adhered to a red card base to match the die cut apple.
Materials Used:
Apple of My Eye stamp set, Apple Shaker dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Riding Hood Red, Garden Green, and Close to Cocoa cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Harvest Gold and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Studious 6x6 paper pad (Authentique); foam tape
