Color Throwdown 602-With Deepest Sympathy
It's time for another Color Throwdown! Barbara is our hostess this week with a soothing color combination--blue, green, peach, and gold.
I paired the colors with the current sketch at Fab Friday to create this sympathy card. I stamped the outline image from Reverse Confetti's Sketched Florals stamp set in black ink on a white panel, then used peach and green pigment inks to fill in the outline with the matching solid image stamps. The panel was matted on blue cardstock and adhered to a peach card base. A green scalloped strip cut with RC's Love Notes die set was tucked beneath the lower edge of the panel. For the sentiment, I stamped the sympathy sentiment from RC's Sentimental Sayings set in gold pigment ink on a peach fishtail flag strip. The text was heat embossed in gold before the flag was positioned over the image panel.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using
these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project
using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color
matches, something close works just fine.
Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your
project. And, if you upload your project
to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD602.
If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the
hashtag #ctd602 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on
Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color
Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Vicky Hayes.

ReplyDeleteLove that you used the peach as your main colour Lori! The little sprigged panel with the gold sentiment and the scalloped detail are lovely too. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI like your use of the subdued but still colorful colors. I use neutrals too often for sympathy cards and it get boring! I will remember these colors! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday.
