You Are Simply Amazing
Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project. I used a number of elements from the inspiration photo in my design, including a floral image, the general layout, and color scheme.
My florals are from Reverse Confetti's Bold Blooms stamp set. The flower and leaf images were stamped with pigment inks, then cut out with the matching dies. I used foam tape to adhere the pieces to a pink on pink striped patterned paper panel. After edging the striped panel with a narrow strip of bright pink cardstock I adhered it to a white panel with a wide strip of gold paper , angling the striped panel for interest. For the sentiment, I stamped the "you are simply amazing" sentiment from RC's Word Up stamp set in gold ink on a narrow aqua panel and heat embossed it in gold for an elegant touch. The embossed sentiment was added to the pink striped panel with one end tucked beneath the raised flower image. I added a pair of accents to the striped panel--a bright pink tab beneath the top right side and a trio of gold sequins around the sentiment strip--then adhered the finished panel to a pink card base to match the flower and the striped panel.
Materials Used:
