It's time for another Color Throwdown! Wanda is our hostess with a warm mix of colors--brick red, yellow/orange, cream, and brown.
I paired the colors with the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch and the Fall Florals stamps and dies from My Favorite Things. I used the stamp set and inks in the challenge colors to stamp up a variety of the set's flower and leaf images on cream cardstock. After die cutting the pieces, I arranged them on a kraft panel, using foam tape on some of the pieces for dimension. It took a while to come up with an arrangement that I liked! For some texture, I adhered a wide strip of dark brown grosgrain ribbon across themiddle of the panel. I topped the ribbon with a narrower strip of red cardstock for contrast. The "with gratitude" sentiment from MFT's Fall Friends set was stamped in brown ink on a pierced oval die cut and positioned at the center of the panel using more foam tape. To finish the design. I adhered the kraft panel to a red card base that matches the strip beneath the sentiment panel. To play along, just create a paper crafted project using
these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project
using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color
matches, something close works just fine.
Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your
project. And, if you upload your project
to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD610.
If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the
hashtag #ctd610 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on
Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color
Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Vicky Hayes.
