Color Throwdown 612-There's No Mummy Like You

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Barbara is our hostess this week with a great mix of colors--rust, blue, cream, and aqua.

There's No Mummy Like You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti

I paired the colors with the sketch from the current Fab Friday challenge to create a Halloween themed design.  The background was made from blue distress oxide that I blended on to a white cardstock panel. For stars, I tapped on a water filled paint brush to make spots across the panel.  The moon was created with a rust circle adhered to the panel with foam tape.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I debossed the rust circle using an embossing folder with various sized polka dots to give it a crater-like look.  For my focal image, I stamped the mummy from Reverse Confetti's Best Witches stamp set on cream cardstock and added a little color to the image before cutting out the image with the matching die.  The image was added to the panel using more foam tape.  I stamped the set's "there's no mummy like you" sentiment on an aqua cardstock strip.  It was added to the panel over a rust fishtail flag strip. I used the set's star dies to cut a trio of stars from gold foil cardstock.  I scattered the shiny stars around the panel to finish the design.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD612If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd612 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Jenny Martin.
