Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch. I used the layout to create a simple sympathy card using stamps from Papertrey Ink. The large leafy branch from PTI's Turning a New Leaf set was stamped in green pigment ink in the lower right corner of the light green panel. To fill out the panel, I added a few pale pink flowers to the branch using an image from the Everyday Classics set. The "with sympathy" sentiment from the Keep It Simple: Sympathy set was stamped in white pigment ink on a vellum strip and heat embossed in white to stand out. I folded the vellum strip around the panel, which let me hide the adhesive I used to secure the panel. The finished panel was adhered to a very pale pink card base to match the soft pink of the blossoms.
Materials Used:
Turning a New Leaf, Everyday Classics, and Keep It Simple: Sympathy stamp sets, Spring Moss cardstock, (Papertrey Ink); Lemon Grass and Orchid pigment inks (Avery Elle); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Rose Petals cardstock, Snow embossing powder (Recollections);
white vellum (The Paper Company)
Really nice card. I like the colors you used and the way you did your Vellum strip.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win this week at CTS, Lori! It's a beautiful card, sure to make anyone who is mourning feel loved.
