Here's my card for the current Mojo Monday sketch. I used the fun Cuppa Sunshine dies from Paper Smooches as a replacement for the layout's round panel. The die was pieced with different color scraps framed by the white outline. It's hard to see in the photo, but I used some shimmery white paper for the cloud. I used foam tape to position the mug at the left side of a white panel. The "hey there sunshine" sentiment stamped on the panel in black ink is a combination of stamps from PS's Sunnyville and Sentiment Sampler sets. The style of the writing was similar enough that they could be paired to get exactly what I wanted to say!
I found some patterned papers in my stash to coordinate with the colors on the mug--a yellow leafy one for the large panel at the center of the light blue cardfront and a multicolored chevron pattern for the wide strip that runs the length of the left side of the cardfront. After matting the yellow panel and edging the chevron panel with some bold blue cardstock, I arranged the patterned pieces on the light blue card base. The die cut and sentiment panel were adhered over the patterned panels to complete the design.
Materials Used:
Sunnyville and Sentiment Sampler stamp sets, Cuppa Sunshine dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Ocean cardstock (Recollections); Lemon Tart cardstock, Lemon Tart patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); Indie Chic Nutmeg "Hanging Out" Rainbow designer paper (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
Love this, Lori! Nothing better than a little sunshine and a cup of coffee! So glad you could join me for Mojo Monday!
