You Rock

You Rock card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used a fun graphic paper from my scrap pile for the layout's parallel panels. The triangle patterned panels were matted on pink cardstock then adhered to the red card base.  I purposely placed them on the cardfront so that the triangles were in opposite directions to add interest. To go with the angles in the patterned paper panels, I cut a stitched star from shiny gold foil cardstock.  After randomly coiling a length of gold thread and adhering it to the cardfront over the patterned paper panel, I added the star on top using foam tape for dimension. The "you rock" sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Seriously Awesome stamp set was stamped in red ink on an elongated pink Sentiment Flag die. I adhered the sentiment strip to the card, tucking one end beneath the raised star die cut, to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Seriously Awesome stamp set, Stitched Stars and Sentiment Flag dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Sweet Blush cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch and Gold Foil cardstock, gold thread (Recollections); Cut and Paste-Flair 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
