It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lisa is our hostess with a warm and earthy mix of colors-kraft, cream, and cranberry.
I paired the colors with the current Fab Friday challenge. I created a leafy fobal image using a branch from Papertrey Ink's Turning a New Leaf stamps and dies and a flower from PTI's Beautiful Blooms II stamp set. For the flower centers, I used cranberry red buttons threaded with kraft twine--something I haven't done in a long time! The pieces were adhered to a cream panel that I edged with a narrow cranberry scalloped strip. I adhered the panel to the right side of a kraft cardstock panel. The "thinking of you" sentiment from the Asian Fusion set was stamped on a cream panel. After matting it on cranberry cardstock, I adhered the text to the panel using more foam tape. The finished panel was adhered to a cranberry card base to match the blooms on the branch. To play along, just create a paper crafted project using
these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project
using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color
matches, something close works just fine.
Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your
project. And, if you upload your project
to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD616.
If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the
hashtag #ctd616 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on
Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color
Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Shawna Standish.
