Eye Think You're Neat

Eye Think You're Neat card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project. Since it's Halloween, I had to go with a somewhat spooky themed design.  I took my inspiration from the trio of images with stripes of color behind them and morphed that into this simple Halloween card

I used distress inks pressed on a clear block and spritzed with water to create the strips of color for my background.  Once the background dried, I topped each color band with a ghost from Lawn Fawn's Monster Mash stamp set.  Each ghost was subtly shaded with Copic markers before it was positioned on the panel using foam tape for dimension.  I matted the panel on green cardstock, then wrapped it with gray twine.  The set's "eye think you're neat" sentiment was stamped on a narrow green strip to match the mat behind the image panel. I used foam tape to place it over the twine and accented it with a small bow. The finished panel was adhered to an orange card base.

Materials Used:
Monster Mash stamp set, Monster Mash dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Carved Pumpkin, Wilted Violet, and Twisted Citron distress inks (Ranger); markers (Copic); Orange Fizz and Sour Apple cardstock (My Favorite Things); gray twine (Hemptique); foam tape
