Leafy Thinking of You

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  This super simple earthy, neutral design came together quickly with the Leaf Canopy stamp set and matching dies from Altenew.

Leafy Thinking of You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Altenew
I stamped the set's large leafy branch outline image in black ink on pale green cardstock, then used darker green ink to stamp the matching solid image inside the outline.   The stamped branch was cut out with the coordinating die, then adhered to a cream panel using foam tape for dimension.  For contrast, I adhered a dotted green patterned paper strip to the left side of the cream panel.  The strip was edged with a narrow strip of kraft cardstock at the transition to the cream cardstock.  I matted the panel on pale green cardstock to match the cardstock used for the leaf image, then adhered it to the center of a kraft card base.  The set's "thinking of you" sentiment was stamped in green ink on a narrow green strip.  The strip was positioned just below the leafy branch to complete the card.

Materials Used:
Leaf Canopy stamp set, Leaf Canopy dies (Altenew); Memento Tuxedo Black and Bamboo Leaves inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Spring Moss and Kraft cardstock, Simply Chartreuse patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
