Peace and Joy

Peace & Joy card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti

Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.  I used the layout to create a holiday card with a pretty sentiment as the star.  The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's Joyful Holiday Wishes stamp set. The text was stamped in silver ink on a black panel, then heat embossed in silver for extra contrast.  I arranged criss-crossing strips at the left corner of the card, mixing classic plaid with sparkly silver to go with the sentiment.  I added a red circle where the strips all intersect and topped it with a super sparkly snowflake cut from silver glitter cardstock.  A clear crystal at the center of the flake added even more sparkle and shine. The finished panel was adhered to a red card base to match the plaid strips. The black, red, and silver combine for a dramatic look that still feels festive.

Materials Used:
Joyful Holiday Wishes stamp set, Let It Snow dies (Reverse Confetti); Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Basic Black and Riding Hood Red cardstock, Sterling Silver embossing powder (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock, Silver Glitter cardstock, Cozy Chalet 6x6 paper pad  (Recollections); clear self-adhesive crystal
