Color Throwdown 623-Wish You Were Here

 

 

 It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Broni is our hostess with a fun mix of colors--green, aqua, and pink.

I paired the colors with new stamps and dies from My Favorite Things for a super clean and simple design.  I stamped the two-step Earth image from the I Miss Your Hugs stamp set in aqua and green pigment inks, then die cut the image with the coordinating die.  For the background, I used a blending brush to apply aqua distress oxide to a white panel, fading the color out as I moved away from the center of the panel.  The image was adhered to the panel in the center of the inked area using foam tape for dimension.  The "wish you were here" sentiment was stamped beneath the image in pink pigment ink.  To bring in a little more pink and tie in the sentiment, I added a pink heart just to the left of the Earth, pointing to where I live.  The finished panel was adhered to a green card base matching the land parts of the Earth image.
