Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I created a winter themed friendship design using an image from the Polar Bear Pals stamp set.
I colored the skating polar bear image with Copic markers before using my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored image. Now that I look at it, I'm regretting the purple ice skates... Once the image was done, the card came together very quickly. I edged an angled panel of aqua gingham patterned paper with narrow strips of rich purple cardstock before adhering the panel to a lighter purple cardfront. An aqua circle was adhered to the top side of the gingham strip. I set the bear image on top of the circle, using foam tape for dimension. To go with the image the "you make every day cooler" sentiment from the Ready, Set, Snow stamp set was stamped on a slanted purple sentiment strip die cut matching the card base. I placed the sentiment on the card, tucked beneath the bottom of the raised image and angling it to match the aqua patterned paper panel, to finish the design.
