Bee Mine

Bee Mine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
Here's my card for the current Paper Craft Crew challenge.  I used the sketch along with stamps and dies from Paper Smooches for this sweet love themed design.

My focal image is the bee from the Bee Mine stamp set.  The image was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching die.  For a background, I cut the Honeycomb die from silver cardstock.  The silver die cut was adhered to a piece of red cross stitch patterned paper from my scrap stash. I placed the patterned panel on a light blue card base, then added the bee image on top using foam tape for dimension.  The set's "bee mine" sentiment was stamped on a narrow yellow fishtail flag strip.  The words are stacked on top of each other on the stamp, but since it's a clear stamp, it was easy to ink the words up one at a time and stamp them next to each other instead.  The stamped sentiment strip was threaded beneath the raised bee image to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Bee Mine stamp set, Bee Mine Icons and Honeycomb dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Silver cardstock (Recollections); foam tape
