Color Throwdown 624-You're the Marshmallows to My Cocoa

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rohl is our hostess for this year's first challenge.  She's sharing a mix of earth-toned color--rust, cream, and brown.

You're the Marshmallows to My Cocoa card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
I paired the colors with a sweet image from Hello Bluebird's Cocoa Party stamp set.  The set's sweater-clad bear image was colored with Copic markers in shades of rust, cream, and brown, then carefully cut out by hand.  I used foam tape to position the bear on a cream cardstock panel, grounded by a narrow brown oval die cut.  The set's "you're the marshmallows to my cocoa" sentiment was stamped on a rust cardstock panel.  After edging the panel with a narrow strip of gold foil cardstock, I tucked it beneath the oval under the bear's feet.  The panel was adhered to a rust card base to match the sentiment strip.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD624If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd624 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Betty Wright.
