Floral Blue Thinking of You

Thinking of You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Altenew
Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project. I  used a few different elements from the inspiration photo in my card, including the color scheme, cluster of floral images, silver accents, and plaid background.

My florals are from Altenew's Build-a-Flower: Dahlia stamp set.  The blooms were stamped in shades of blue and purple. I didn't use all of the layers but used enough to get some variance and detail.  The flowers and leaves were cut out with the coordinating dies and arranged at the bottom of a blue gingham patterned paper panel. For the leafy silver accent element, I used the smaller stamp from the Leaf Canopy set.  The image was stamped on shiny silver cardstock and cut out with the matching die, then tucked beneath the floral cluster.  I stamped one of the "thinking of you" sentiments from the Thinking of You set on a purple strip in darker purple ink and positioned the strip over the flowers.  A trio of silver sequins arranged around the flowers completed the design.  The finished panel was placed on a contrasting dark blue card base.

Materials Used:
Build-a-Flower: Dahlia and Leaf Canopy stamp and die sets, Thinking of You stamp set, Wisteria, Andromeda, Turquoise, Tide Blue, and Starlight Crisp inks (Altenew); Enchanted Evening and Winter Wisteria cardstock, Spring Rain patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Silver cardstock (Recollections); silver sequins; foam tape
