Color Throwdown 632-You Are Too Kind

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Barbara is our hostess this week with a bright floral inspired color combination--yellow, peach, green, and white.

I created a bright, cheery thank you card using stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti and the current Mojo Monday sketch. Since I don't have peach cardstock or ink, I went with a little more of an orange-y tone than the challenge colors called for... I stamped up some flowers and leaves from the Petals 'n Posies stamp set in orange, yellow, and green. After cutting out the stamped images with the matching dies, I used foam tape to arrange them along the right side of a white circle die cut.  I used black ink to stamp the "you are too kind" sentiment from the Simply Sentiments stamp set in the circle's open space.  The circle was mattted on orange cardstock, then adhered to the left side of a solid buttery yellow panel over a trio of orange dotted squares. The dotty pattern ties in with the dotted pattern on the smaller flower. I layered the pieces on to an orange card base with a leafy yellow floral paper on it. A pair of orange matte enamel dots positioned at the centers of the flowers completed the design.
