Color Throwdown 634-Kiss Me

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Amy Rohl is our hostess this week with a mix of colors that's perfect for today's St. Patrick's Day celebrations--dark green, light green, gold, white.

I paired the colors with the current Mojo Monday Sketch and stamps from Paper Smooches. I used the cute from from the A Little Lovin' set as my focal image. The frog and crown were colored with Copic markers to match the challenge colors, then cut out by hand. I used foam tape to adhere the images to a white circle, leaving room to stamp the set's "kiss me" sentiment at the top right side of the panel. To make a background for the image panel, I matted a green panel with gold cardstock and adhered the panels to a dark green card base. I found dark green and light green patterned paper strips in my scrap pile. After trimming them down, I adhered them to the left side of the green panel. For more sparkle, I edged the longer dark green strip with a narrow strip of gold paper matching the mat beneath the large green panel on the card base. The image panel was adhered to the green panel over a pair of smaller circles, one dark green and one sparkly gold.
