Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I used stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs to make a simple school themed design.
My focal image is a stitched apple made with LID's Apple Shaker die. I used foam tape to positionthe apple on a piece of gray cardstock that reminds me of an old-school style chalkboard. After adhering the gray panel to the center of a red square card base, I framed the piece with a pair of L-shaped kraft panels. To give it more of a chalkboard feel, I added a mini copper brad at the end of each kraft panel to look like a nail. The "hello" sentiment from the Sending You stamp set was stamped in red ink on a small white panel. I used more foam tape to set the word in place to finish the design.
Materials Used:
Sending You stamp set, Apple Shaker dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Lady Bug ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Real Red and Green Galore cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Steel Grey cardstock (My Favorite Things); copper mini brads; foam tape
Fun card! I love the school theme and the background really does look like a chalkboard! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
